Bye snow, 3-28-2009

Comments

Still a foot-and-a-half (or more) of snow on the ground in the front yard here in northern Maine. There's probably significantly more than that in the woods. We need to go out and plow the driveway - for the third time in as many days - to move slushy ice. Did manage to walk out for the mail, though, because there are enough occasional dry (or only slightly muddy) patches to walk on now. Yay!

Hi Nancy, thanks for stopping by! It's been quite persistent because although it's been pretty dry, it's also stayed quite cold.

Hello!
In Finland we have had cold nights during the past week. This weekend it?s turning warmer. However we got some 5cms new snow last night. I have to use my snow pusher
once again! A positive thing in coldness is that you can go skiskating everywhere, because the surface of snow is so hard. I guess in Maine this is possible too?
But soon the real spring is here and there! Bye! Antti Kallio

Hei Antti! Just noticed you stopped by.

Since Saturday it has begun to rain. Everything is wet and melting today (though it is only about 4 degrees outside). The forecasts are for 7 to 12C the next several days, off and on rain.
